Flash Train Animation

This week, you're going to make a basic animation with Flash.

The tutorial was pretty good, but here are some hints to help you complete it:

1. The tutorial is for CS3, and your version is CS6. To get your version to look more like theirs, click on the small pulldown menu to the left of the search box at the upper-right corner of the Flash window, then select Classic. See the image below for the other differences in appearance:

2. To change the rectangle tool to the oval, click on the rectangle tool and hold down the mouse button until the menu appears.

3. When it asks you to Insert-->Motion Tween, insert a Classic Tween (right below it) instead.

4. When it asks you to insert a logo, insert any old picture on your computer just to see how it works. Pick a small picture if you can.

5. YOU HAVE TO USE FIREFOX to see the sample animation on the front page of the tutorial. Safari and Chrome won't work. You'll have to click "Activate Adobe Flash" in the gray box to see it.

Get all that? Okay--the tutorial is here.
